研究室簡介
近年來,臺灣的肺癌病例有顯著增加的趨勢。惡性腫瘤細胞在體內從初發生的位置移動到遠方第二個位置出現的過程稱之為癌轉移,是造成病患死亡的最主要原因。在先前的研究中,我們利用侵入/轉移模式細胞株和微陣列生物晶片技術發現許多候選基因會參與在癌轉移過程的機制當中。因此,本實驗室目前研究的方向主要是針對這些與癌轉移相關的候選基因探討其所扮演之角色及作用分子機轉,並將基礎研究的結果與臨床病人outcome相結合,以判斷此候選基因是否可以當作生物性標記。同時也會進一步釐清候選基因的轉錄調控機制,以期能藉由調控此候選基因的表現而達到減緩或抑制癌轉移的臨床應用。其次,則是利用我們實驗室所建立的系統,尋找出可以抑制或減緩癌化過程的新化合物或是中草藥的機能性成分。另外,針對不同的疾病模式倘若想進行相關基因調控與研究者,本實驗室也可以提供相關協助與合作。
